Our client, a prominent luxury vehicle division of a South Korean manufacturer, faced the challenge of providing an intuitive and immersive online car configurator that allowed web visitors to personalize their luxury vehicles. They needed a solution that seamlessly integrated 3D models with a comprehensive range of customizable options, while also ensuring efficient localization for the Chinese market.
Our Solution
Leadstec developed a bespoke solution leveraging AEM’s robust content management capabilities and integrating high-fidelity 3D models into the BTO website. By utilizing AEM, we empowered our client to efficiently manage and update car models, specifications, and localized content. The integration of 3D models allowed web visitors to visually experience their chosen configurations in real-time.
To facilitate easy customization, we designed a user-friendly interface where visitors could select various options, including Motor PE type, Motor Trim level, Wheels, Exterior Color, Interior Color, Interior Trim, Package, and pick-up location. As visitors made changes, the 3D model of the car transformed dynamically, providing an immersive and engaging experience. Simultaneously, the system calculated the related cost, displaying it in real-time.
Additionally, we implemented a financial calculator to assist potential buyers in understanding the loan information. The calculator provided essential details such as the Cooperative institution, Loan duration, Down payment ratio, Monthly payment amount, Down payment amount, and annualized interest rate. This feature empowered customers to make informed decisions about their financing options directly on the website.
Results
The implementation of the AEM and 3D model integration project yielded remarkable results for our client. The BTO website’s enhanced user experience and streamlined car customization process contributed to a significant increase in conversion rates. Potential buyers were captivated by the immersive 3D visualization and the ability to instantly visualize their personalized luxury vehicle.
The financial calculator feature provided transparency and clarity regarding loan information, enabling buyers to assess their financing options conveniently. This instilled confidence in potential customers and helped them move forward in the purchasing process.
